End of Summer Pictures

Again, sorry for my novice photography skills.  I tried fixing Dooley's eyes, and obviously failed.

Baby Bulldogs cheerleading camp.  Hannah had a blast!

Big Sister, Little Sister.  Best forever friends.

I learned to clap this week!

My Mae Mae

With the summer coming to an end, we have welcomed new classrooms, new schedules, and new attitudes from Mae Michael.  My sweet baby has, overnight, entered the terrible two's.  We never experienced this with Hannah, so I feel like a fish out of water.  I am not ashamed to say that motherhood has come easy to me.  I can, and do, deal with every challenge I'm handed.  But this, this is hard.

She changes from sweet and loving to screaming and fighting me in an instant, and then switches right back.  The hardest time of day is in the morning.  Because of Jason's schedule, I'm by myself in the morning.  I have a system for getting all three girls dressed and out the door.  This past week I have had to wake up thirty minutes earlier to accommodate for my struggling with Mae Mae.

I'm hoping that this new found stubbornness is just a vacation hangover, rather than the actual terrible two's.  If not, we are in for a long year!  Regardless, she is a cutie, and still melts my heart with her sweet "I uh oo's" (I love you).

She wanted to play "air-eee" (fairy) with me.  She loves playing with Hannah's dolls and fairies.
Sorry, I have no idea how to work Robert's camera!
"I too cute, momma."

Hannah's first day of school

Just like every other mom of a four year old, I'm still in shock and disbelief that my baby has begun real school.  To tell you the truth, though, I have been looking forward to this day for over four years.  I love UMS-Wright.  I loved every minute of my 14 years there, and I have been so excited for Hannah (and Mae Mae and Ruthie eventually) to have the same experience.  So, when the day came for us to take her to her first day, my feelings of sadness that my baby is growing up were overwhelmed by feelings of pride and joy.

On Monday, Hannah, Jason and I attended "Jump Start," which is a short visit to meet your teacher, put all of your belongings in your cubby, and learn the ropes.

Hannah finding her name on the door.
 Mrs. Pipkins' class!
She was SO nervous to meet Mrs. Pipkins for the first time.  She teared up, but Mrs. Pipkins give the best hugs and that made it all better!!!
Rebecca/Noah, remember these?  We used to make some awesome towers with cardboard blocks.  Hannah wanted to pose next to a toy that I liked to play with when I was in K-4.
Checking out the painting center with Daddy.
One of Hannah's best friends from SBCDC.  She was sad that they are not in the same class this year, but SO happy that they see each other on the playground everyday!
Jump Start was GREAT!  Hannah was ready for the first day of school on Tuesday!

Our first official "first day of school" photo!  I hope to remember to do this every year.
You can't see the smocking in this picture, but Hannah is wearing her UMS-Wright dress and bow for the first day :)

On the bench outside of her classroom.  Hannah wanted to show off her new bag.  All K-4 and K5 students are required to use the UMS-Wright duffle.
IT IS AMAZING... EVERY DAY HAS BEEN SO FUN AND HANNAH IS LOVING IT!

Ruthie- 7 months

Ruthie turned 7 months on August 5th.  We were vacationing at the beach for the week, so my 7 month pictures were taken a week late.

Ruthie is crawling now and all over the place!  As you can see from the photos, I couldn't get her to sit still in the chair!  I managed to get a picture of her sitting next to the chair for comparison purposes.
